History os Smitty’s: Smitty’s Barber Shop was established in 1959 in Smyrna, GA, by Roland “Smitty” Smith. In 1965, Roland moved the shop, and his family, to beautiful Cave Spring, GA, where the shop remained for many years. In 1995, Roland’s son, Mark Smith, opened the Cedartown location of Smitty’s Barber Shop, where it is still today. In January of 2020, Mark “Smitty” Smith retired and left the shop to his son-in-law, Thomas Cape, who has been a master barber at Smitty’s since December of 2008. Smitty’s is the oldest and longest running barber shop in Polk County.
