I'm a small business owner, and chose to go with Taxslayer for my 2023 taxes. While their website and interface were user friendly and easy to use, I felt rushed through and I had additional information to enter and was not provided opportunity to do so.I received a letter from the IRS a few days ago indicating that there were glaring errors in my return, to include several pages missing. Some to include the first two pages of my return, proof of income, and then proof of quarterly taxes filed. Whether this was a glitch or not, something like this should not be overlooked. The website attempted to force me to take a state deduction I wasn't legally entitled to. When I tried to get it off, it wouldn't let me. It also had difficulties with me being a different state resident than my spouse when filing jointly. I couldn't find the errors until I saw the PDF, which is after the paywall. It then took me two emails and an hour on the phone to get a refund for the return I couldn't legally use without risking an audit.The GUI is not great... the ability to check for errors before payment is poor. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is because they eventually did refund my payment.

User friendly, but way too expensive and they conveniently don't tell you how expensive their fees are until after you go through the whole process and are ready to file. Been using the service since 2020, but will not be using them again. Hope the almost 70 dollars was worth losing a loyal customer! I am done!
