I accidentally added a form I did not need, deleted the form, but could not figure out how to downgrade back to simply fee. Customer support person was unable to help. I used google to find a solution, which was delete the return and start over. A bit frustrating. Only using taxslayer because my return is simple and fed and one state are free. If I had to pay, I would find something more affordable.
Each year I start filling out the tax forms with the goal of not having to call customer service and especially the next line up, the ones who help us out of our own messes. Not that they are uninviting or rude in any way, just that, after all, I do have some pride. This tax season, for 2025 taxes, once again I failed. Talked twice, I think, with the first line--great conversations and got the help I needed. Then, my state tax results were not good. I found the cause, could not fix it, called the second line (and all you have to do is ASK for the second line; no questions asked, no argument, you are connected!), Erika was just magnificent!. I love the fact it won't let you move on or send with any mistakes. And it highlights the mistake so your not panicking missing what it was. So easy and actually the first year I used tax slayer they caught a mistake jacken Hewitt had made the year before and I was audited and amazingly I was owed money and got an extra 1750$ that I should've gotten prior year. Thank u tax Slayer
