After experiencing several disastrous haircuts at high-end salons, I decided to let Barker cut my hair because of his reputation and his previous partnership with a well-established hairdressing chain that I once liked but stopped going to due to the distance. Barker is a very personable, creative person with excellent skills in cutting and styling hair. I immediately felt at ease while he was working on my hair and appreciated his adaptability to my curly texture and facial features. I loved that he strives to provide a positive customer experience and was attentive to my needs. I used to see Nikita here. I called to make an appointment but learnt that the salon closed. Fortunately I had Nikita’s cellphone and was able to get in with her! She is now at The Hair Lounge by Nickita at the salon lofts in Smyrna. It actually worked out great for me because this is literally 4 minutes from my home and the space is very calm and quiet!

I love this place! Josie does excellent color, and Aaron does an excellent cut! Everyone here, though, is just relaxed and capable stylists. They’re nice to talk to during the appointment, and they seem to really understand hair. I tend to pay more for the more experienced stylists, and I find it totally worth it. When I have an idea for my hair but need a little nudge in a certain direction, the more experienced stylists don’t just stare at me blankly — they offer good suggestions.
