I would like to thank Stella for keeping us in shape, both physically and mentally thanks to her CrossFit sessions during the pandemic and our child's toddler years. I was a vivid Crossfitter before and during my pregnancy and was dedicated to keep training as soon as I can after my baby arrived. The reality was different - sleep deprivation and unstructured newborn daily schedule was so exhausting that I made it to the box just few times during first 6 months after the birth. Stella has been my trainer for over 12 years. Early this year I learned that I would need open heart surgery to replace a valve and aorta. With Stella’s guidance we began to train my body to quickly recover from this major surgery. By working on core exercises and lower body strengthening we were able to get me as ready as I could be. Post-surgery I recovered very quickly and was standing and sitting up without assistance. On my discharge from the hospital, the surgeon mentioned that he wished all his patients prepared as thoroughly. Stella was the key driver in that preparation.
I've trained with Stella for several years & her holistic approach is just one of the many things that makes her so good at what she does. Stella incorporates endurance, strength & agility into her training, but she also focuses on the importance of good nutrition & rest. At 71, my primary goal is staying fit & healthy and even after training with her for years, I continue to make progress. Last year I started doing CrossFit with Stella, and while I lost only a couple pounds, my whole body composition changed in just a few short months & I dropped a full dress/pants size...and I feel stronger & more powerful than ever. Her balance of challenging her clients to achieve what they never thought possible, while at the same time offering encouragement & support is what makes her great!
