Don't use the patient portal because your physician team doesn't receive the messages. You have employees call you that are not on your medical team call and confess reading confidential medical condition messages to your team. I have an exceptional orthopedic staff, but find it unprofessional and ridiculous that I cannot utilize the patient portal in strict confidence to my orthopedic team.
I admit I am at a loss re: the high percentage of negative reviews here for Peachtree Orthopedics. I am a Type A, rather picky but fair Virgo who has worked in and around hospitals and health technology companies most of my long career. And Heaven knows I've had more than a ton of physician office visits, physical therapy and both inpatient and outpatient procedures. So yes, I have standards...and opinions, based on years of personal and professional experience. That's the setup to say that I have had nothing but professional, personable experiences and superior care from the Peachtree Ortho team. From Dr. Anil Thomas who performed my hip replacement to his care team (shout out to Sarah) and my extraordinary physical therapist, Malwin Thomas (no relation) as well as the scheduling and front-desk staff I've encountered, they have all been outstanding. I said above that my career was in and around healthcare. It has been...typically as director of public relations/communications or a similar post. Patient/customer complaints often came to me to research and respond to. It's true that, even with a great team's best efforts, schedules sometimes run behind. As I told a woman in one of our hospital's elevators who was complaining about her husband's surgery running late, "I'm sure it's because his surgeon is taking the bit of extra time that a patient ahead of your husband needs. Isn't that the same attention you want for your husband?" She hadn't looked at it that way, and it made her a bit less nervous. In scanning some of these reviews, I suggest that some folks put that kind of understanding into their perspectives...and reviews. I believe that in life, we must be as quick to praise as we are to criticize. Heaven knows I've often been known to do the latter when I feel it's justified. But I also give praise and thanks when it's warranted. For me, Peachtree Orthopedics has earned strong kudos and my ongoing appreciation.
Smaller location and only three therapists. They are like a family, but they seem to get more involved with each other than their patient at times. I believe in a happy workplace, but not when I’m paying to get one on one. Lately, I have felt neglected and I see others getting one on one and seem more serious. Sorry, JJ, but came to you for help and had to add more appointments but not getting the one on one. Also, this establishment is in a doctor’s building and filthy, dust everywhere. They say they have called the cleaning company, but obviously they have not shown up. This was a month ago!
