“Heavy and persistent rains in 2020 had turned a longstanding drainage problem in our back and side yards from a nuisance in to a serious problem. We had completed two previous projects with other landscapers to fix the problem that did not work. Carl at Greenbriar designed and executed a dry creek bed drainage system that is aesthetically appealing and works exactly as intended. I was impressed enough with the work to have Greenbriar out right away for another, smaller drainage project. They exceeded my expectations on the second job as well. The combination of quality and value offered by Greenbriar exceeds any other landscaping service I've used in my 20 years in Athens.

Our earlier drainage projects with Greenbriar have allowed us to make recreational use of parts of our back yard that we never could have before. We recently completed a project to design and build an outdoor fireplace that would serve as the centerpiece of an outdoor seating area. We wanted our design to compare with the large, rustic stone fireplaces built in the 1930s by the WPA in parks all over the country.

Carl worked with us and his master mason to build a spectacular homage to this style but with traditional Rumford fireplace principles at it's heart. It produces a tremendous amount of radiant heat; bright, leaping flames; and absolutely all the smoke, soot, and gases go right up the chimney. The materials and craftsmanship of all components are top-notch and I'm sure this fireplace will still be standing when the rest of the home is long gone. It's best described as a functional piece of art! I remain very impressed with the high quality and value of the projects I've completed with Carl at Greenbriar and will definitely use him again.“

“UPDATE 2022: I’ve had greenscapes aerate and top dress my lawn twice now. You can’t beat their price and quality of service and materials. They use a 90/10 PGA certified sand/peat mix to top dress. It’s screened so there no twigs or pebbles in it and it’s weed free. I’ve had zero issues with weeds after both services. They’re fast too. Other companies will charge you more and use inferior material. Just do yourself a favor and use these guys. They’re the best.2020: They did a great job topdressing and aerating my lawn.“
