I strongly advise against utilizing Nightingale Services. A home infusion nurse's negligence resulted in a life-threatening situation for me. Despite the standard protocol, the nurse refused to replace the port access needle within the recommended 7-day timeframe, instead leaving it in place for 21 days. Consequently, I developed sepsis, which has resulted in a prolonged recovery period, and have significantly worsened Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome on top of the substantial financial burdens. No nurse when you need one. My sister’s PICC line was stopped up. I was trained to give her infusion but not on what to do if the lines stop up and I’m not a RN. I was told the “on call” nurse would not return the after hours call or the supervisor’s call. Will be requesting another HomeHealth Agency. My sister will have to go to the ER to have this taken care of and will miss her evening infusion. This is not quality health care services.Albany, GA office
