Yesterday I took one of my Community Cats (meaning they are outside my home, I feed and care for them and they are spayed/neutered) to the "Animal Eye Specialty Clinic". My neutered male, Shadow, got in a fight and his right eye was swollen, weeping, and mostly closed . Luckily I was able to get him in a Vet Carrier. When I got there the front desk staff took me right in to the exam room. I was allowed to stay there during the exam. Dr. Schechtmann was so thorough and kind, reassured me that he had sight in that eye and he would be alright. I was referred here for a consultation by a veterinarian for my cat's eyes. It was very easy to get an almost immediate appointment. Two veterinarians and a vet tech were present during the exam and it was handled with very tender loving care towards my cat. They even allowed me to view what they were saying and explain the significance of it. Even my cat Kayleigh picked up the Good Vibrations from these people and was calm throughout the exam. I was also very impressed with the low-cost of this visit considering the in-depth exam that was performed. I highly recommend!
My aging boston terrier needed a very experienced and highly skilled eye specialist. My dog had injured her eye several times over the years and developed cataracts. But she needed very capable hands when she got her eye scratched by another dog, because she couldn't open the eye from the pain. Under Dr. Carastro's care, my dog's eyes healed well.
