Community Health Centers of Central Florida (CHCFL) is a non-profit organization that offers high-quality, affordable medical, pediatric, dental, and pharmacy services in the Tavares area, close to Eustis and Mount Dora. The Sea Plane themed center in downtown Tavares provides comprehensive medical, dental, and specialty services for both children and adults, including Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Adult Dental, Pediatric Dental, Lab, and Pharmacy. The on-site low-cost Pharmacy is exclusive to their patients. The staff at CHCFL are described as friendly and helpful, maintaining a well-maintained and clean office. They keep patients informed of wait times and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process. While call and wait times could be improved, the ability to speak with a live person when dealing with finicky insurance companies is appreciated. One standout pediatrician, Dr. Joanne Decade, is highly recommended for her excellent care, particularly for teenagers. However, the recent loss of Dr. Milian, described as a "star doctor," is noted with regret. The remaining doctors are described as nice, but patients have not yet had the opportunity to build doctor-patient relationships with them. CHCFL is recommended for health care, with a suggestion to offer a sliding scale for payments.
