Dr Drake was our vet from the mid-90’s until we moved away from Tampa. After trying a few vets (3) near us over the last few years and not being happy with the care we received, we decided it is definitely worth the hour drive each way to use Southpaw Animal Health. Very glad we did. I trust Dr Drake’s knowledge, experience, and demeanor. Highly recommend!!!

10 Gold Stars. This office and its team are incredible to their furry four legged patients and their owners, like me. I have tried several vets and nothing compares to SouthPaw. Both my dogs have been there for almost 2 years now and it’s the best care I’ve experienced for my animals since I adopted my first dog 10 years ago! Way to go SouthPaw :)

My first time at this vet was for palliative care for my 21 super senior cat Allie. Allie and I were promptly greeted and brought into our room. Melanie was so kind, gently, and empathetic to my concerns for Allie who is in hospice care and gave great care in handling her. Dr. Cruz and Melanie listened to my concerns and answered all my questions with kindness, understanding, and compassion. I felt completely heard and comfortable with them as Allie’s care team. Thank you Dr. Cruz for your knowledge and support with Allie during the difficult quality of life examination.
