I arrived at my parent's home late Saturday afternoon, during the Labor Day weekend, to a hot house. I looked at the thermostat which is always set to 75 degrees, and the temperature was climbing to the mid-80's. My mom had called her current A/C provider and left a voice message. After an hour or so she called another A/C company who said they "could come out tomorrow." My mother is 76 years-old and my step-dad is 80. I decided to call another company - Serge's Air Conditioning. Within minutes they called me back and said they would be at my parent's home within an hour or so. I've used Serge's A/C for several years. John, my service man, is honest, friendly and competent. Needed work over the weekend and he came out Tuesday and fixed it. Reasonable price. I highly recommend them.
My office uses Serge's, my boss uses Serge's, his neighbors use Serge's, my co-workers use Serge's, I use Serge's - get the picture? All these finicky Florida people can't be wrong!I will caution you up front - they WILL be more expensive than pretty much anybody else you get a quote from. That being said, whatever you need done, it will be done correctly. And while I'm all about shopping around for the best price, when it comes to my air conditioning unit, I'm just not willing to look for a bargain. I've gone that route, and lived to regret it. The satisfaction of knowing my A/C unit will work properly the entire year and many years in the future is worth paying a little extra for.
