Moffitt has been fantastic, and exceeded our expectation's which were already elevated as I grew up being a patient of Cleveland Clinic hospital systems. On a score of 1-10 Cleveland Clinic get's a 9.5. And the only reason it does not get a 10 is because my family had to make room for Moffitt which is a 10 out of 10.

It seems antiquated to bring patients in four (4) hours earlier than their doctor appointment to do STANDARD blood tests. The two oncologists that I visit do the blood tests in 15 minutes. Luckily, I was not familiar with the appointment process and did not realize that the 6:30 am time shown along with the 10:30 doctor visit time was for blood testing. Therefor, I arrived at 10 am and the blood test was ready for when I saw the doctor less than 1/2 hour later. I am a fairly healthy (except for cancer) and sitting around for hours would not take its toll. However, many infirm, elderly, wheelchair and walker patients, some who needed assistance are put through unnecessary stress. Perhaps in Moffitt's attempt to centralize ALL their lab work has complicated fairly simple blood testing. With spreading viruses and other germs, creating unnecessarily LARGE waiting areas and rest room facilities is not in the best interest of patients. An hour prior to the doctor appointment certainly seems more than sufficient, so the scheduling needs fixing. Having said that..... every employee was GREAT from the parking garage to the actual doctor visit. My treatment there 15 years ago for prostate cancer was great as well and it did not include four hour previsit blood testing.

I told the oncologist I'd rather die on a beach in Mexico than go through radiation, chemo and surgery. He talked me into joining a clinical trial designed for organ preservation, not surgery. My team and experience at Moffitt have far exceeded my highest hopes in every way. Highly recommended expert, professional, caring and compassionate Cancer treatment.
