I had a very good experience. I signed up for a study on their anesthesia. And got a free gyno surgery out of it. The staff was excellent :) the doctor who performed the surgery did an excellent job.

I have been taking part in a brief (thank God) clinical research study here and I will not be returning for the following reasons: 1) the most unprofessional staff I have ever seen in my 30 years in the medical profession. The staff appears to much more preoccupied with decorating, eating, discussing their personal lives, and everything other than client care or clinical research. This is most likely why my initial visit which was scheduled to last 2-3 hours lasted a grueling SEVEN hours. 2) An inexperienced nurse stabbed me straight on with a large gauge needle in a ridiculous attempt to draw blood ( I have NEVER seen anything so stupid even in a beginner phlebotomy training!) and when, surprise -blood squirted out, she yelped, again SO UNPROFESSIONAL!! and on top of it all 3) despite the FACT the contract we signed that states funds will be dispursed within 2 business days, they have not. So the center is holding the money hostage and I'm here with a bruised and battered vein from the incompetent staff. NO THANKS !!! Moderna needs to let someone else do their research and I will be calling them to report all of this!!! I will also be reporting the nurse to the Florida Board along with her superiors at ForCare for letting her go unchecked and treating me with such utter disregard.

On a recent Friday evening, I fell asleep in a leather recliner wearing a v-neck (in back) gown and when I awoke around 4a, Saturday morning, it felt like my back was stuck to the chair. When I pulled free, the pain started. By Sunday morning, I had a blotchy red area on my back the size of appetizer plate, an indented area around the bottom of that area that appeared to be from the gown and raised bumps resembling blisters. On Sunday night, I drove to an ER, as the itching and pain were unbearable. Home remedies of Benadryl and Hydrocortisone creams did nothing. My condition wasn't "life-threatening", so the ER dr. gave me pain meds and an anti-inflammatory on site and sent me home with 3 prescriptions. Though he didn't know what it was, after I explained that neither the recliner or gown were new, I hadn't eaten anything unusual or gone into the woods, and we had not changed our laundry detergent. I was fortunate enough to get a Dermatologist appt on Tuesday at Forcare Medical Clinic. Carlos (maybe a nurse) and the Physician's Assistant, Kassandra, conveyed concern about this strange area on my back, but did not have answers. Kassandra consulted with a "doctor" (she only said "the doctor") and I was met with the following, "the doctor said to throw away the gown and don't sit in that chair." What?!!! I was peeling scabs off of my back a week later, as if I had been burned. I am now concerned that these marks are permanent and am still perplexed as that what happened and as importantly if it could happen again. Throw away the gown? Really? I won't go back to Forcare and as there are many dermatologists in Tampa, Fl, maybe you should avoid this business also. Shameful. Clearly someone has forgotten how to care.
