This review has 2 parts to equal the 5 star review. The first part serves as a buyer beware as the management says this happens all the time. For 30+years my mother would brag at the fact that every part of her final arrangements had been planned and paid for. so imagine my surprise when the management gave me the bad news when I met with them after her passing. The opening and closing expense was $550.00 when she "prepaid" for it around 1992. now in 2024 it is more than 1800.00 additional. I called them a few years ago when she relocated to Richmond VA and was told "the only thing you would be responsible for would be the cost to ship her remains back... read full review
I want to thank Tameka, Jazmine, Ed and the rest of the team for care they gave my mother and family during the preparation for the Celebration of Life for my father. They took care to listen to every detail, to include, Military Funeral Honors. Thank you for honoring a life well lived Blount & Curry.
Tameka is amazing I have had her for every one of my funerals. My father my son and my mom. She help me get through them all with so much moral support. And even when I had family issues she sleptin to support me. I would not want to work with anyone but her. Thank Temeka your are a angel set to guide me. Temeke is so caring and there for you 100%. The way she did my son's unexpected death. She took my breath away with how she set up his goodbye. And the moral support she gives then you are lost she guides you and helps you get through everything thing. So it not over welming she is beautiful and has a beautiful soul.
