I was researching places that could do Japanese straightening near me, specifically the Shiseido version, as that is what was used on my hair in California. This place came up with many reviews and they specialize in Japanese straightening. I called when they were open and booked an appointment for January. They take a $100 deposit, which is used towards your appointment. (This is to ensure clients show up or if they cannot, that they reschedule in advance.) The salon is located down the road from the plaza where The Fresh Market is located. It's a small modern salon with two chairs and the husband and wife team focus on straightening. Anna and Paul are the sweetest couple. Paul straightens my hair once a year and is so meticulous. My hair is so much easier to deal with after being straightened - just wake up and go. I don't need to blow dry or use heat tools on my hair at all any more. There is a great little empanada shop/bakery in the complex too. I am so thankful I found Anna Bang years ago. It's an easy drive from Sarasota.
