The employees at the front desk, are unprofessional and rude. I had medical information that needed to be reviewed by my doctor, the employee at the front desk told me that my information could not be reviewed by my primary care provider or any doctor in their facility. The front desk employees have no problem hanging up on patients, and show no courtesy towards their patients. The doctors and nurses at this location are courteous and polite, but the same cannot be said for the remainder of their staff. Dr Amara's 1st immediate response to high A1C is immediately insulin. Insulin is a last attempt after exhausting all available medications which was never done. He prescribed a different insulin than discussed, no needle with the insulin pen prescribed. Said I should be taking 1,000 mg twice per day but prescribed 1,000 once per day. When I asked for a referral to an endocrinologist the response was to send me a letter stating I should find a new doctor. The response is absolutely disgusting. How dare I question my health. I'll end that there was no conversation after this last appointment until I followed up for the referral.
The women at the front desk and doctor were very polite. However, the women whom was checking my vitals by the name of Cece was VERY RUDE. She apparently had an issue with me being on the phone with my spouse. & told me “I’ll wait until you’re done with your conversation.” & kept repeating it.As a healthcare worker myself I understand there are HIPPA regulations however it’s now about what you say it’s how you say it. Everything about her tone was disrespectful and completely rude. So I asked for another person. Vanessa was very sweet.
