I went to my VA primary DR with sciatica symptoms, he sent me to PT (physical therapy). It took 2.5 months to get my first appointment/evaluation. I fell 8 times during that 2.5 month period. Physical Therapist Ryan McGee performed a very thorough evaluation, which resulted in me getting x-rays and CT scan at this location and eventually an EMG test at the Miami VA. My weekly PT by Ryan McGee has been absolutely excellent. T he only negative takeaway is the 2.5 month wait to get my PT evaluation. My PT treatments at this location are as good if not better than PT treatments that I have received in the past at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, FL.
I am so thankful for the Broward VA. I have had many great experiences there. The staff is friendly and efficient. I have had great experience with the lab, pharmacy, women's clinic, the eye clinic and radiology. I gave it four stars because a doctor had some bad bedside manners. But as always you can change doctors and I did.
I have been going to the VA Medical Center for many years now. I never had any problems getting my different shots or bloodwork, hearing exams, etc. Get my medications and insulin from the as well Korean War Veteran and an old-timer. Very Pleased, Harold Weinreb
