I recently moved to this area and have been looking for a good beauty salon. After searching so many, I decided to call "Marie's Place" and since I spoke to the lady on the phone I knew this was the perfect place for me.
I went there the same day and met Marie the owner a Dominican Republican lady which is so friendly and I explained to her what needed to be done on my hair. I wanted a drastic change, so with my ideas and Marie's knowledge the results were absolutely awesome!
If you live in Tamarac area or surroundings go to Marie's Place, prices are affordable, environment is fun can't forget to mention Dalia she rocks and the rest of the ladies are very nice and...read full review

I followed my hairdresser Linda here after the shop she has worked at for many years went out of business. Nestled in an older plaza in the corner, it is easy to pass up this small beauty salon. The owner is Dominican so the decor of the salon does remind me of little latin salons my grandmother would visit. It is nothing fancy, and basically caters to the clientele that frequent there. I came in and immediately saw my hairdresser Linda so I went and sat in her chair. There were two other hairdresser in the salon as well as two other patrons. I exchanged smiles with the others but there wasn't any socializing of any sort going on like I am used to in these older beauty salons. Linda proceeded to bring me to the wash sinks. The chairs are about as comfortable as the chairs can get when you are hyperextending your neck into a sink to get your hair washed lol. After getting a get scalp scrub ( my fav) she escorted me back to her chair. Linda's cuts and styling are always phenomenal( she has been doing my hair for years) and she is a breath of fresh of air to talk to. I stopped coloring my hair years ago but her cuts and styling are always up to my standards. Her prices are unbeatable for the quality that you receive when she does you hair( Less than 50.00 for washing, cut and blow dry). If you want a fancy salon with fancy prices then this is not the place for you. If you want a a great haircut without the outlandish price tag, come see Linda.
