Dr. Anderson (and Dr. Varela) take great care of my dog. The vet techs are great too. My dog always runs in to greet everyone. They work with you to know your dog, and always make you feel heard and comforted as a pet's human. My dog's orthopedic surgeon, at Capital Veterinary Specialists, recommended Buck Lake to us for primary care; it's where he takes his dogs :)

I was very weary of which vet to take our puppy to, having heard mixed reactions and opinions about other places. However, after hearing how amazing this place is from a good friend of mine who has several pups, I took a chance. Knox (our pup) only needed a couple basic shots, but I was also worried about being over charged. After going, getting him taken care of and speaking to Dr. Varela and his knowledgeable staff we will definitely be returning. It wasn't too much plus we received a puppy pack which is 2 bags of dog food (Hills Science Diet) and a couple other things for free!!! The staff is so caring and I had no problem sending Knox back even though I was worried...read full review
