I regularly take my dry cleaning and alterations here. They are consistently friendly and competent. Recently, they saved me! My daughter was getting married and I had taken my mother of the bride dress and the maid of honor dress to another seamstress and wasn't really happy with the result- still loose, uneven hem, not short enough, wasn't able to add a modesty patch at low neckline. Etc. Days before the wedding, I brought these 2 and another dress for alterations. They got it done in a couple days. It was very well done and a reasonable price. She’s opened a shop on the main land, 2792 US 1 South St.Augustine, FL 32086. I went to a place in Daytona and the did not measure me correctly. Two weeks before my daughter’s wedding and the dress was too small, I couldn’t even zip it. The found a dress on the floor I could zip, but was way too tight and long. Carmela, the owner, saved me! I went by her shop with the dress Friday. She called me today and said to come in, she had it done. Today is Monday and at first it was going to be done Friday. I have used the alteration service several times for clothing as well a couple of home item projects that required figuring out how to accomplish what was wanted. On both counts it was all so well done in a timely, intelligent, friendly manner. I recommend. The pricing is what I would consider to be industry standard for this type of service.
