Wow do I feel fortunate to have met Dr. Mathusa. My pup was quite sick and Susan (office manager/teammate/wife of Dr. Mathusa) worked me in to their schedule. Dr. Mathusa was kind,compassionate, spent time with my me/my pup (very gentle with my pup), explained everything he was seeing/uncovering, provided perfect care (discussed options--gave me three paths we could take--did NOT try to include services/options that would have cost and been likely unnecessary). I walked in to the clinic with tremendous stress about the state of my pup and was immediately calmed by Dr. Mathusa (and his technician, also wonderful), his "bed-side manner", his clear knowledge of what he was doing and the protocol I walked away with to get my pup back on track. I recommend Dr. Mathusa and his team 100%. Sanibel is lucky to have them as part of the community and animal support. Thank you Dr. Mathusa and Susan and the whole team!

Referring to June 2022 by Truth S First and foremost, the person you refer to is not my wife, but I do know who treated you in an unprofessional manner. I am sorry for your experience. Your treatment was unacceptable. The person you are referring to is, understandably, no longer working at our facility. Please know that every day we work hard to treat clients in the same manner that we would expect to be treated.

I can’t express how much I love this vet! Dr. Mathias is very knowledgeable and competent. He truly cares about his furry patients. He is compassionate and super helpful! The entire staff is lovely! So glad I found this place for my kitties.
