“It’s Brittney for me!! I came in with a whole mess on my head that someone else did from Ulta at Durbin. I have Asian hair and all I asked for was to not leave with brassy hair. Each and everytime I left Ulta, I was nothing but BRASS! I kept giving my girl a chance one time after another. I finally cut ties after a year and a half with the same girl. Since the day Brittney set magic on my hair I haven’t seen brass, even after my washes. She IS absolutely AMAZING and I keep coming back!

“We just took our almost 3 year old in to get a haircut with Brian and we had a great experience. My son felt like a big boy and Brian treated him with kindness and respect. In fact, all of the barbers in the shop were kind to my kids (my daughter tagged along). The shop was clean and bright. We had an early evening appointment but around the time we were leaving, gentlemen kept coming in for their cuts which is always a good sign. Plus, you can book an appointment online which really made the process seamless.

This is a small, local business. Brian, the owner, is a resident of the area and cares about giving quality cuts for all ages. Highly suggest this place.“

“I have been trying all kinds of different for the past two years and ended up going to a place that I have frequently been going to…..thankfully they were closed. I went on Yelp and searched…..well hair razors was right around the corner, so I gave it a try. I walked in and was graciously greeted by Cindy the owner.Cindy then proceeded to ask me detailed questions about how I wanted my haircut and then offered me a beer, wine or other beverages. “It's not so much that I've had familiarity with Lou's Barber Shop over my few years in JAX, but my barber, Nam, I have been familiar with since 2019. Long and short: Nam moved over to Lou's during COVID and I relocated to San Diego for three years. Upon my return, I needed to get a fresh start with Nam once again. I really like this barber shop. I just about always used barbers on the military bases through my years of service. But when I have a great barber, I'm always willing to drive a few extra miles to maintain consistency. Also, as I've watched Nam cut other men's hair while waiting, she treats all of us with amazing courtesy and respect - and has a great sense of humor! Well, you get the picture, getting a haircut is more about the barber than barber shop itself. However, there are some things you need to know before visiting Lou's. Yes - they do take appointments, just give them a call. It's a nice facility that's well taken care of. Chairs are comfortable and spacing is good between them. Important!!! They are CASH ONLY here, Prices range from $18 for a men's haircut. Seniors (55 and over) haircuts are $15. There is no military discount. They do have a stylist who cuts females' hair. Contact the shop for pricing. If I had only one recommendation I think the shop needs to fix its bathroom a bit. It appears unclean and needs a towel dispenser. I'm not always overly concerned about the appearance of a place when proper cleaning and having needed items to ensure a safe environment are in place. If they aren't, that's always a concern. I hope the ownership of Lou's will consider this and make some fixes to the bathroom. I will say I've greatly enjoyed my visits as it's always easy to strike up a conversation with the gentleman waiting for a haircut next to you, or just having a fun time with the barber as my photos show! All to say, there is a good vibe at Lou's. Go there if you're looking for good company and great haircut! Tell them the Yelp Rev Ron R sent you! Recommend: VERY HIGH“

“Pam started cutting my hair when I was in elementary school. Although I took a long hiatus where I used a different barber, however when Pam walked into my work I immediatley recognized her and she told me she opened her own barber shop. I plan on using pams barber shop for many years to come. She cares about our country and the citizens therein.
