“Awesome professionals and care received at Westchase location. Facility recommended by physician based on balance problems associated with following two falls fracturing left knee. Despite I-275 interchange traffic, treatment and exercises received worth the time. Check-in process was easy and always friendly (thank you Elee & Joyce). Initial visit focused on identifying problem requiring physical therapy plus personal goals. Exercises thereafter were tailored toward achieving goals. Progress documented through progress surveys and exercises. Throughout treatment at various stations within the facility, my goals and progress were continually tracked, as well as my personal well-being. Treatment and exercises included options to what was more important to me. Balance always a problem but I found strengthening leg muscles was most productive toward achieving my goal and helped considerably. Workouts varied including treadmill and bike as well as steps heel raises, outdoors sidewalk and grass walks, leg weights, foam & balance trainer ball exercises between bars (hip resistance, abduction and marching plus single leg balance). Through continued reps and instruction, balance and leg muscle strength increased as well as confidence. Safety procedures consistently enforced using overhead hoists, belts or harnesses as needed. Printed exercises were also provided for homework. Most thankful to skills, professionalism, knowledge and manner provided by Physical Therapists Michael, Vincent and Dave (from Buffalo NY). All were participants in my progress and well-being.“
