Joel Jacobson is nothing more than a crook and a con artist. He somehow built a reputation as someone who can help resolve tax issues via offer-in-compromise. Then he charged a client I referred $12,500, let a year go by without doing anything, made us resubmit everything to him because he has lost it, and did not return any form of communication. When we finally caught up with him after two years, he had submitted a very poor offer, it had been rejected, the appeals period had passed, and he had not communicated any of this to the client.
