Well my sister was transferred there from covenant village care center. After 7 days I called her room and was told she wasn't there. I said where was she, was told she was taken to ICU, where she died 1 week later. I can honestly say the floor nurses were all very nice, but seemed nurses in ICU were under staffed. I would not recommend this hospital for anything life threatening.
I would like to give a special shout out and a world of thanks to Germaine in the pathology dept. When the doctor who performed my biopsy 10 days ago failed to send report to my surgeon even though I made 3 separate requests to his office staff to do so. I contacted Germaine at Westside and explained my problem; in a matter of seconds the report was sent and my surgeon now has all the info needed for my appt today. This is another fantastic example of the care and attention given to patients at Westside . Once again, thank you Germaine for your care and understanding, you are a true asset to Westside Regional Hospital.
I was in the ER last night 7/15/24 and the staff was overwhelmed by the amount of patients they had. There were so many of us that all the hallways were covered with patients on stretchers because they didn't have enough rooms. My nurse was amazing, she was very very nice, efficient and kind. On the other hand I waited a good 6 hours to get discharged. My tests were done fairly fast but the doc could see me for hours because she was so very busy.
