Personal Enrichment Through Mental Health Services (PEMHS)

Personal Enrichment through Mental Health Services (PEMHS) has been committed to providing care in crisis since 1981. The organization's dedicated staff and comprehensive range of programs are designed to meet the needs of children, adults and families with the goal of building strong communities. PEMHS is a private, non-profit behavioral health care organization located in Pinellas County, Florida. Programs include a 24-hour suicide hotline, emergency screening and crisis intervention services, inpatient services for adults and children, residential services for children and community based programs. PEMHS understands that high quality services are necessary to obtain the best outcome for individuals and families facing behavioral health issues. Clients have expressed appreciation for the prompt and understanding care they received. Case workers were described as great advocates and listeners, ensuring clients and their families had the support and resources they needed. One client new to the area was grateful for the case worker's efforts to help them get settled. Another client who lost their job due to a layoff and was facing financial stress, was able to get back on their feet with the help of the PEMHS team.
