Beware of Sage Dental of Pinecrest (SDOP)! Do your research before visiting! I only wish I would have further researched SDOP beyond just Google Reviews. If I had, I would have been more skeptical of their 4.6 average score based on 340 reviews. I finally understand the low reviews. I scheduled an appointment online with the dentist that was listed as pediatric. 2 days before my appointment they call me to tell me the dental hygienist wouldn't be in the office that day to do a cleaning, but would I want to go see the dentist anyway? Nope. I specifically scheduled a cleaning, but ok I get things happen - let's reschedule. Great. I rescheduled. I asked how much my copay would be, and they said they wouldn't know until 2 days before the appointment...which it would have been if they hadn't rescheduled. Red flag number one. I went to Sage Dental Pinecrest on May 10,2023 for a cleaning. At this visit I used my HealthyBenefit card issued by Medicare to pay an out of pocket expense of $1180. I went back to this office on August 9. the night before I checked my balance on my HealthyBenefit card just in case I needed it. I had a ZERO balance. after I was serviced I asked the Hygienist what my charge was for my May visit. She showed me the amount of $1180. I called the card company to inquire about the zero balance and was told Sage Dental charged the entire balance {$2500) of the card on May 10th.
