A life saving vet with amazingly affordable prices! The 1st day of vacation, we realized our 15 year old dog wasn't well. This vet was open on Sundays without exorbitant weekend price increases! Which was a huge factor. Immediatel, our dog was diagnosed with diabetes. She had an overnight stay which consisted of multiple treatments and constant monitoring. The Doctor and staff keep us informed throughout her 32 hour stay. Thanks to the quality of care and expertise our dog survive! We were trained by the staff to give daily insulin injections, proper food choices, and diabetics friendly treats. All of which ensure our dog stays healthy moving forward. Prior to returning home, we returned for her 2 week / 10 hour follow up. This test made sure her insulin was on point and adjusted to ensured our dog was receiving the exact amount of insulin required to maintain healthy glucose level. This great care followed us back to Tennessee when they called to check on our dog. Then they communicated with our local veterinary office to ensure all records and test results were sent. Lastly, WE WERE EXPECTING A HUGE BILL!! Oh boy we were thrilled with the rates! we were given an estimate on day one and the entire bill was $300 under the estimated cost. We used the overage for her medication, supplies, and food. we're on month 3 and still have enough RX for another 2 months and just ordered her food. Initial purchase has lasted 8 weeks. All together : the super reasonable cost, 5 star care and the best customer service imaginable . We highly recommend this veterinarian office! If we lived in Florida, they would definitely be our vet.
This is a wonderful place with incredible staff. From the receptionists to the techs to the drs, you are all amazing. We needed to put our beautiful fur baby down this weekend and started at the emergency hospital, which was a joke. After a HORRIBLE experience at the emergency hospital, we called animal hospital in Pensacola and they were kind, empathetic and helpful. They were able to fit us in and have us come over. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, even while putting our sweet girl down, this team was hands down, THE BEST!! Kind, empathetic, loving, professional. You are all wonderful. Thank you for being so gentle with us and our sweet old girl. It was a comfort to know that we had such wonderful people in our time of need, saying goodbye to our girl. Thank you!!
Avoid this place if you are military. They do not value your time. I went to this clinic after finding out that we had been thrown the curveball of moving to Japan with less than enough time to prepare for it. I made an appointment with them after confirming that they do offer rabies titers. I informed them that my dog was reactive and they were, for the most part, very accommodating and I appreciate that. On October 10th, they collected my dogs blood for the rabies titers and told me that the results normally come back within 1-2 weeks with a possibility of longer due to Covid. I told them during this appointment that I will be moving out of state at the end of October. I was then told that they would call me and that they would be checking daily for updates. On November 2nd, I called just to see if there was any update on the status of my dogs results. I was told they would check and call me back. On November 3rd, I was left a voicemail saying that my dogs blood sample was lost in the mail. On November 4th, I called back to discuss what could be done as I am no longer in the state of Florida and cannot bring my dog back for another blood draw. I was told by the receptionist that they had apparently known about this lost blood sample for WEEKS and that someone was supposed to call me and let me know. I was then called by a technician who showed very little empathy towards the situation and told me that the only thing that could be done was for me was for them to send me my medical records and have the rabies titers done someplace else. Then I was told that I would be called back by the manager (which did not happen). I called back before closing after waiting hours and was eventually given a refund. The most valuable thing lost was time. The waiting quarantine period after a rabies titers is 180 days (~6 months). I now have to find a new clinic and restart this waiting period. This is time I do not have and that is something that I had expressed to the staff in both appointments. As someone who works in veterinary medicine and someone who knows how time sensitive these things are, I don't think that I would 1. Wait weeks to let someone know that their sample was lost, 2. Talk to someone the way that they did when that someone is literally crying, stressed on the phone and 3. Talk over and hang up on someone. I understand that these things can happen, it's just the fact that they waited weeks to tell me and gave me a hard time when it came to coming to a solution. They lack customer service. I was incredibly patient with them and now I have an increased possibility of not being able to leave with my dog to Japan.
