From DFI Building Tomorrow
DFI, a long-time builder in the east central Florida region with custom timber bridges nationwide, offers its customers a team of over seventy five full-time employees to ensure consistent performance and sensitive customer service. In many communities around the nation, general contractors tend to broker the services and oversee the projects. DFI uses a unique business model that puts it firmly in control of its operations. DFI has a pool of tradesmen who are employed by the company, allowing DFI to limit subcontracting and save on middleman markup. The company also owns, maintains and operates millions of dollars worth of construction equipment from cranes to welding units.
Don Facciobene has refused to pay my company for services rendered. DFI equipment spilled a large volume of oil into a lake on a site they are working, DFI contacted OPG Plus to do the environmental cleanup, the cleanup was completed per state DEP standards yet DFI has refused to pay for the service. They have not indicated displeasure with the cleanup and have called us in for meetings, only to not show up themselves. Extremally unprofessional and dishonest at the least. I have all documentation, before and after photos of the spill site, text conversations etcetera for anyone interested. Potential subcontractors beware.
They were working on a restaurant build bid for me and delayed it without good reason they were also asking a lot of very amateur questions and don't seem to understand health codes. They don't respond to emails well. They are arrogant, and wasted my time. They also have horrible equipment suppliers. If you are a small business I'd skip working with these guys.
Apparently their drivers don't have to pay attention to things like oncoming traffic or not driving over medians so they don't have to make a u turn. They also apparently don't care when someone tries to tell them about it.
