“Their professionalism and results are 5-star. I knocked rating down to 4 because the organization is corporately confusing. I've never seen or spoken to the same person twice (except both doctors Rubin and O'Neil). Any issue required calls to six people and six phone numbers. Additionally, I wrote six letters over six weeks to have issues clearly stated, documented and resolved. Not one letter was acknowledge nor addressed. The organization is a bundle of corporate confusion. That said, I'm satisfied as my eyes were fixed.“

Every single person I encountered was friendly and just made my day brighter. The process was easy and quick. I paid extra for the exam for contacts and ordered them while I was there. “All I can say is that I was truly blown away today at JCPenney Optical. I recently moved from California and realized I was out of contacts and in desperate need of a new pair today -- it being Saturday, I realized it would be hard to get in, as I needed a new prescription on top of needing contacts. Tanya answered the phone when I called, was such a friendly voice on the other end, and said she would talk to the doctor to see what they could do, though their schedule was full. Less than 15 minutes later I get a call back, and Tanya said the doctor would get me in. Just, WOW. “I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Mark Johnson and his staff for my recent cataract surgery. At 72 years old with a very delicate eye condition, I was extremely nervous but Dr. Johnson put me at ease.Not only did I have a very mature cataract, but I was also extremely myopic with a -25.5 prescription - the highest on record at his office. This elongated eyeball made measuring for the precise intraocular lens (IOL) challenging. The measurements showed I needed a special 3-piece lens rather than the standard one-piece.Additionally, a previous eye surgery had replaced my vitreous with liquid, which raised concerns about whether it could adequately hold the new lens capsule in place. Despite the difficulties, Dr. Johnson promised improved vision but was upfront that he couldn't guarantee perfection. I appreciated his honesty.On surgery day at the Sarasota surgery center, the nurses were incredibly kind and attentive. They made sure I was warm and comfortable throughout by frequently providing heated blankets tucked around me at my request.After the surgery, I was overjoyed to be able to see clearly without glasses or contacts for the first time since getting my first -4.50 prescription at age 9! Dr. Johnson even called later to check on me.I am utterly thrilled with the results. Dr. Johnson's skills and his perfect lens selection have given me a new lease on life being able to see with my own eyes at my age despite my eye's complexities. I'm so grateful!
