The hotel is beautiful, huge, rooms were great, lots of choices on places to eat. HUGE DOWNSIDE…. Parking!!! There was a cheering competition here(no I didn’t know when we booked or we wouldn’t have!) so we had to park about a mile away from the hotel every time we wanted to come and go, even though we have handicap parking they didn’t have any spots only a couple that have been taken since we got here. And don’t forget anything you need. Lol Hubby ran out of cigarettes, ran down to the little market downstairs. $18.00 a pack.
We recently went to Rosen Shingle Creek for a ladies get away. We didn’t have much time so we chose this resort for all the amenities knowing we wouldn’t have to leave the resort. The grounds were gorgeous! We did not play golf but I hope to be back soon because the course looked outstanding from our room view, and our view from the Clubhouse Grille and A Land Remembered. They had a market that was open 24/7 with many offerings for food, snacks, beverages, even wine, beer, and liquor. They also had some souvenirs and clothing which my friend was able to bring back items for her family. We had a clean comfortable room. They were able to check us in at 11am which was such a huge bonus because we had early flights and were able to get settled and to the pool to enjoy all day. Sebastian was our pool server and did an excellent job. They have delicious frozen drinks and food pool side. I brought a float and was able to stay in the water without my drink running dry. My friend got the wings poolside, they were good and crispy which was ideal but they didn’t honor her request for all flats and the sauce came on the side which kept them crispy but made it challenging to apply the sauce to enjoy. They were delivered hot and without much of a wait. So great service at the pool! The second day the pool the server was Kori. She also was great although we decided to get lunch at the Clubhouse Grille. That was an excellent decision, with top notch service on the patio so I could enjoy a cigar and delicious food. Nick was our server and did a fantastic job. Our food was delicious. I got the burger which came medium even tho I ordered and prefer it rare. It was still delicious and everything else was flawless so I didn’t bother to mention and enjoyed as it was but I’m confident if I had mentioned it they would have made it right. They serve massive bacon cubes on the salad which were so yummy and they had great ranch dressing. It was beautiful scenery and a wonderful experience. We mentioned to Nick we had reservations at A Land Remembered which is the same location in the evening and that we would love to sit outside again for our dinner reservation. He made sure to accommodate our request and when we came back in the evening it was magical! The hostess was kind and seated us per our earlier request at a beautiful table on the patio now transformed to more of an elegant experience. We had Cloud as a server and he was fantastic. The manager Erkan checked on us many times as well. The service was impeccable and really shined why they are a 4 Diamond award winner every year. My friend was accommodated with her allergy and loved her food, and espresso martinis. I had one of the most delicious filet to my record. I like my filet extra rare and am often disappointed at restaurants, however this may be the few if ever times I was blown away with how perfectly my filet was cooked! It was so smooth and tender like butter. Probably my best cooked steak ever and my blonde espresso martini was amazing. Pair the incredible service with unbelievable food and a breathtaking view this experience was all diamonds! Had we had this experience the night prior we would have eaten here both nights. We did try Cala Bella and it was not a place we would try again. My pizza was thin but the dough wasn’t cooked through even tho the bottom was crispy and charred. This being the case I could not really ask them to cook it more. My friend’s lamb chops were prepared in an odd way that she didn’t enjoy and the presentation of her plate was very slobby. She had the octopus as an appetizer and it was presented like art with great attention and she did enjoy most of it but she thought it to be on the border of over cooked so stopped enjoying it once she reached the chewy part. Christy was our server and she was very busy and neglectful as our drinks were often empty. It seemed she was the only server, and later in our service she was better which made us believe it was just an understaffed issue and that she would be great if not stretched thin.
