So I had tadlock come out to give me a quote because my insurance refused to pay with damages from Hurricane Ian...which Im still battling them with unfortunately after 2 years.. so i decided this needed to get done and paying out of pocket, they were recommended by a friend. They came out assessed everything thought they understood that one side of the home that was a metal roof needed framing and we wanted everything to be shingle across the board. I mean if you're a roofer and a professional you should have known there was no framing by just looking at it considering it was a screened in area long before we moved in that was just enclosed to make an extra living area on that part of the house,plus pictures were taken and the man was walking on the roof and spoke with my husband and myself! I signed the contract under the impression that everything was great and understood... they started on the shingles part and that went well minus some damage to my home in the mean time. This is where it gets bad they started to rip the metal roofing off and stopped. I got a phone call stating framing needed to be done.. well this was discussed and talked about mind you before anything began. Well, now it's been over a month no one will get in touch with me in what is going on because now an engineer needs to sign off on this now and my ceiling is caving in and leaking everywhere and a lot of the stuff on that side of the house is ruined furniture, floors etc.. . I don't understand how a company can just leave a job and leave us in this situation mind you I get a bill for 20k for a partial like wait what??! You have even finished the job and expect me to pay? Absolutely ridiculous and I do not recommend these people such a scam!!
