This place is EXCELLENT! I booked a romantic staycation at the Grand Bohemian downtown this weekend and thought a couple's massage would be an excellent activity during our visit. I couldn't figure out how to book it online, but I called a few days in advance and was able to make an appointment with Brianna over the phone - she was incredibly friendly and informative regarding appointment times, expectations, and cost. After checking into our room and getting rinsed off in the shower (be polite to your masseuse, y'all - rinse ya body off before they give you a rubdown ) and went down to the sixth floor just before appointment time. We were welcomed by three very friendly people - one woman working the desk, the other two were our masseuses. After checking in and some brief, light conversation, Leslie and Frances walked us to the massage room and began discussing any areas to avoid, what we were looking for in our massage, and some additional services we could add on. I opted to add every option on since it was a day about pampering ourselves. Usually I stay pretty quiet during a massage and just soak it all in, but this time we both actually enjoyed conversing with our masseuses quite a bit! Don't get me wrong, they'd allow you to enjoy peace and quite during your massage if that's what you prefer, but we had a GREAT time chatting with them as they did a FANTASTIC massage. After an hour and a half, they finished up and we redressed and headed out to the lobby area where we opted to buy a few small items to take with us. This is the most full-experience massage experience I've ever had. They took care of me from my scalp down to my toes and were so pleasant and friendly. It was romantic for my partner and I, but an overall great experience being with Leslie and Frances. I'd definitely suggest making a stop here for some wholesome self-care.
I stayed the Grand Bohemian for my wedding and had the pleasure of experiencing Poseidon Spa. I got a custom massage that included aromatherapy, some lymphatic drainage (which, UGH, I LOVE), a foot scrub, and medium tension pressure. It was AMAZING, you know a massage is good when you start to nod off. It was the perfect pre-wedding ritual to ease my wedding jitters. And the cherry on top, they gave me a glass of champagne and a bag full of spa goodies! (I mean really, is it even a massage if there's no champagne?) Great experience and I highly recommend!
This was an anniversary surprise gift during our stay at the Grand Bohemian. Let me start by saying that I have experienced a lot of massages at different locations here and in NY. For me, what makes the massage is the whole experience. The masseuse was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. It was a customized package so she did ask what areas etc. She also asked about medications etc. It was a wonderful massage and it didn't feel rushed at all. I was so relaxed and felt like a weight had been lifted by the end.My husband had been in contact with the spa and he asked to be contacted at checkout so he can handle the payment and tip and they followed that to the t.Definitely recommend if staying in the area.
