I had the honor to practice with Master Nelson during my short stay in Orlando. I very much liked his class, integrity and spirit. He teaches authentic Tae Kwon Do, not only fancy kicking.Thanks a lot for letting me join your class and I look forward to welcome you in our Dojang in Switzerland.
First I will like to say it's never to late to learn. I needed to leave shortly after starting to learn to self defense but I'm hopeful I'll be coming back soon, but during the time I was there Master Nelson was wonderful at explaining throughout the class with various way of protecting oneself and truly showing the ultimate respect of Korean culture.
The extent of my knowledge of martial arts is watching Cobra Kai on Netflix so that's why I'm framing this the way I'm about to.Master Nelson is totally Kreese's backstory (military, still in touch with his teachers) but then he has Johnny Lawrence's attitude towards the kids (he can be hard on them, but from a place of care and compassion and truly having their backs).My kid is shy and I was really hoping this would help him come out of his shell a bit and get to know some other kids. It took him almost 2 weeks to actually participate in class, but the whole time the instructor and the other students were GREAT about trying to motivate him but not pushing too hard.Now...read full review
