“Mr. Handyman is a class act. They were in contact with me from the minute I said yes to the work that I needed to be done. I was informed with a picture and a text of who was coming and he was on his way. Prompt!. Derek was polite, knowledgeable, communicative and a pleasure to have come work for me. Felt so bad for him though, he was in my attic, on a 99 degree day! Kept my eyes on him to make sure he was good. Had a problem, not his fault, we discussed it and came to a amicable solution. He was in contact with home base (Andrew) as well. The job, took much longer than anyone anticipated, with that and the heat I thought it would be rushed. But no! Poor Derek was drenched! I think he said he went through 3 shirts with ? sweat. Poor soul. At the end of the job, it was perfect! Works like a charm. Clean up was great, super clean up! He even put the cardboard in the recycling bin!!!! Offered him drink throughout the day, he declined. Gave it one more shot with an ice pop, and he took the offer! I'm glad. “I had a hard time finding someone both qualified and willing to do build-back work (furring strips, vapor barrier, drywall and texture) following mold remediation in my living room. The Handyman Company was very responsive so I went with them. They scheduled someone to come out to start the job within a couple of days of me accepting the proposal.

Patrick worked full days and did a lot of work to put everything back so you could barely tell the walls had been cut out and gutted. He kept everything very clean throughout the process. I recommend Patrick.

I attached a photo of a portion of the finished job. (Priming and painting wasn’t in the scope of work. I’m doing that myself.)

The only complaint I have is the person who quoted the job (not Patrick) under-quoted materials by a lot. The actual materials I was billed for were more than double the estimate, but I looked at the receipts and the overages were bad estimating, not bad purchases.

Edit: Within a few days of job completion several of the drywall seams cracked. I called The Handyman Company for a warranty claim. They sent Patrick back out to fix it. I asked Patrick to remove the mesh tape that he used on those seams and replace it with the paper tape that I already had. He said that was too much work and he wasn't going to do that. Instead he caulked the cracks, which I'm not pleased with.“

“Lincoln and his workers did wonderful work on several jobs for us including baseboard replacements, cabinet repair, shower tile re-grouting and repairing a couple of new downspouts that our gutter contractor messed up. Very respectful to the property and attention to cleanliness once the job(s) were completed. We were also very impressed with the communication and showing up exactly when scheduled. We have already thought of additional work and will be calling on Americas Handy again !“
