Before finding Dr. Kraut I had 2 retinal detachments in my right eye. My first surgery was done at the Eye Institute of West Florida (Largo). The surgeon reattached my retina and used a gas to hold it in place, but 3 weeks later it detached a second time. The same surgeon reattached it again and continued using the gas although he had mentioned other doctors might use the serial buckle surgery with oil to hold the retina in place. Three weeks later in GA my retina detached for a 3rd time. I saw a surgeon in GA and he recommended the serial buckle surgery with oil. I couldn't stay in GA and found Dr Kraut in Oconee / Orlando. I called for an emergency visit today and the doctor and staff were nice enough to fit me right in. This was important to me as I only have sight in one eye and get nervous when I notice sudden changes in my sighted eye. I have had reason to see several doctors in recent months as well as dealing with my insurance, most of whom had poor customer service, to say the least. It was so welcoming to see Dr Kraut's supprt staff so polite, professional and supportive. I wish more professional offices would follow suit and hire and train support staff the caliber that Dr Kraut has in his office. Hats off to the doctor and staff. Makes a huge difference in the experience!
