I am always on the look out for the best Dominican Salon in this area and I spotted this one driving on Oakland. I am Dominican from NYC and my mom was a Dominican hairstylist for many many decades in NY and DR so I have high standards! I have curly hair that I like to get blowdried almost every week or two so that is my test for a new salon!l. My hair lasted 3 weeks straight and frizz free! I did dry shampoo once , cause you have to, but her blowdry could have easily lasted another week or 2, prob even longer though I don't push it out that long. 2nd time I got rollers then the blow dry afterward - was $5 cheaper... both are good optionS- just depends on how much time I have to spare. Pros: Clean, spacious, new The owner, Awilda, does my hair and she def knows how to give a good blowdry! Paula also does great work! Friendly, Inviting They offer most services you can think of including manis and pedis, hair dye, extensions, etc They offer all sorts of beverages to quench your thirst - very considerate!! Lots of parking in the back Cons: I have only been twice but so far no cons to speak of! Prices are in line with the other Dominican salons in the area and this one is closer to me so definitely a plus! Overall, definitely several steps up from the typical no frills Dominican salons found in this area. Better decor, high level of expertise, cleanliness, customer service, etc. I hope they keep it up! I Highly Recommend!

I loved my experience here. It was a very clean establishment, very neat..Paola is so friendly and pleasant to deal with. I was greeted and offered a glass of wine and was treated so well throughout. This is definitely an experience that is a step up from the typical Dominican salon visit.
