“Rusty, Dee and Sue are great dog trainers and wonderful people with a good heart! We discovered them in February and are regulars since then. They truly and deeply care, and we are grateful that we found this place for training and boarding. We learned so much about ourselves and the things we unintentionally did “wrong”. We learned to better read our Mal’s body language and how to communicate better with him. He was never the problem, it was our lack of proper communication with him. Rusty, Dee and Sue taught us this with rewarding the wanted behavior only and becoming consistent. You need to be willing to take accountability for doing things the wrong way or being lazy when it comes to train with your dog every day at home, even when you had a long day at work and you’re tired. They just teach you how to do it but the “doing it” part is your responsibility. Your relationship to your dog is only as good as how much you invest in it time and energy wise. Also, your dog reacts to your energy, so be mindful what you radiate when you train your dog. They need a confident leader to follow you. It is so easy to blame your trainer and/or your dog…but the truth is that you as the owner have to put consistent work in. Every day and day by day. We love Southwest Florida K9 Services and we respect them as the knowledgeable and experienced trainers they are. And so does our dog! He loves going there. We highly recommend this place to anyone!!“

“I've been getting my standard poodle groomed here for about a year now and I cannot say enough good things about them. My energetic boy can be a handful, but his groomer Andrea allows him the time he needs to get his puppy wiggles out. He always looks fantastic and most importantly to me, he's excited to see the staff which says he's having a good time getting his hair done.“

“We rescued 2 puppies from an abusive situation. The male was aggressive and lunged and the female barked constantly at anyone outside our family. After being turned down by other trainers due to their aggressiveness and failing an interview at the boarding facility we use for our senior black lab, they recommended Ray at Align K9. In only 5 sessions, these pups are walking properly on leashes, calmly sitting when Ray visits, eating out of his hand, hopping in and out of the car on command, and walking confidently around our pool. These pups were terrified of these things before training. We are amazed that we can confidently walk them by joggers and kids playing and they sit by our sides! There is still more work to be done, but we’re beyond pleased with their progress! Everyone told us we should consider giving them up. Ray gave us hope.“
