This post is long overdue. Two weeks ago, I visited “The Serenity Hair Spa” for the first time for a Trim and Silk Press. I have been natural for 4 years (4C/B curl pattern) and my previous beautician is retired. I highly recommend the Serenity Hair & Spa. The service is unmatched, the hair care knowledge is evident, and most importantly their love and passion for all hair types is certainly obvious. My hair couldn’t be in better hands, and I know you will agree with me when you visit. They cater to relaxed beauties as well, so don’t feel left out…there is room for you too! The ambiance upon entering the room was very peaceful. I was met with pleasantries from the beautiful owners Ms. Debbie and her daughter Nakia. The space is very clean and their existing clients that were there that day were very friendly. Nakia did my hair that evening. She took her time with the washing, massaging of the scalp, and even took her time to detangle (which was my biggest concern). Every step of the way Nakia informed me of what she was doing ahead of time and why she was doing it. And she did it all with love and care. This was important for me because when you have been doing your own hair for as long as I have, you tend to believe you are the expert of your hair and no one else can compare. I have never been so happy to be WRONG… my hair feels amazing still. It has so much bounce and vigor. Even with it beginning to revert back to its natural state (Note ladies… no heat damage!), it is soft as butter baby. It’s been so difficult keeping my hands out of my hair. At the end of the visit I also purchased the Ashtae hair care products that they used to get my hair so moisturized, so I can recreate these results between visits. It’s been two weeks and… well let’s just say, I’m still touching as I type this review haha! I am ecstatic about these results and I can’t wait until my next visit!
I brought my daughter to these ladies about 4 weeks ago with badly damaged keratin treated hair. They advised steam treatment and cut. Well of course we didn’t want to cut her hair, but after 2 washes and a treatment, her natural hair is like silk. Her hair is growing back. Meaghan and her Mom are very happy. Thank you Debbie and Nakia.
