Van Orsdel Funeral Home did a great job helping my family plan for the funeral of my father. Crystal Van Orsdel-Merchant and Akeem Skinner were especially helpful. Akeem was always the consummate professional; he was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that the family's needs are met. From the pre-planning process to the funeral service, Van Orsdel makes it easy. They relieve family members of the burden of coordinating all the activities associated with the funeral process, which truly helps in a time of grieving. I would heartily recommend Van Orsdel to those who are looking to honor their loved ones.
As a Funeral Director, I sincerely appreciate the feedback I receive from families and industry colleagues and felt moved to share my positive experience with Van Orsdel - Midtown. I was genuinely impressed by Funeral Director Mr. Akeem M. Skinner. Akeem was kind, a terrific listener, professional but warm, and eager to help me. His continued communication and attention to detail has been reassuring during this busy time.
I wish to thank Akeem and the outstanding team at Van Orsdel Funeral & Cremation Services - Midtown for helping me care for the needs of a very special family!

He comforted me, was patient with me, and helped me through all the gut wrenching decision making that comes with loosing a loved one. I couldn't imagine having had a better experience with honoring my father's body and processing his death, than I did with Akeem Skinner and... read full review
