Cut and style was comparable to what you'd get at a Supercuts. Made the appointment online and never got any confirmation about the appointment. Don't expect anyone to pickup the phone if you call. I did finally receive a phone call because they had a cancellation and was asked to come in earlier. My hair was left pretty frizzy. Not terrible but definitely not great. I won't be back.
So let me first say my review is based on my last service. I was not impressed. The stylist was risk adverse, meaning she trimmed when I asked for a cut. She clearly did not have a great deal of experience with very thick straight hair. I have had good cuts in previous visits. Make sure you have an appointment with the manager or other senior stylist
I usually purchase my hair products from this location. In November I purchased a can of Guts from Redken. Yesterday, I ran out of Guts and tried a different product from Redken that I purchased in November. When I went to use it this morning, the top snapped in half. I took it back tonight and was denied a refund or exchange. They still didn't have the Guts that I was hoping to exchange this product for, still Redken. Because I didn't have the receipt the manager took my credit card and was able to see that I made the purchase in November. Since it was over 60 days, no offer of exchange or refund, even though she specifically acknowledged the purchase. She said the \"computer\" wouldn't allow her to make a change or refund. I said you're a human and you can't override the computer and she said no. Then Dawn, one of the employees started talking over the manager, I said one person only needs to be speaking. Very rude. Left the purchase when them, evidently JC Penny Salon needs it more than I do. I won't be going back.
