I just graduated from The Salon Professional Academy, and I already miss it. It wasn’t perfect, but it was full of people who truly made a difference in my life. As a tribute to the school, I wanted to share a little about the staff and my experience.. Miss Jess wore many hats and worked hard to keep everything running. She gave the most meaningful graduation speech, one that I’ll always remember. Miss Jamie was always warm and approachable. Anytime I needed something, her answer was usually a cheerful “Sure!” if she could help. Miss Melissa was a real one, she gave me so much guidance with nail services and never judged what I didn’t know.. Miss Lori was incredibly patient and humble in her teaching abilities. So so knowledgeable on skin and took the time to make sure we truly understood everything, and if she didn’t know an answer, she found it. She never got frustrated, just calmly helped us through our days there. Miss Alyssa brought such fun and energy to class, but when it was time to learn, she was fully focused and detailed in her waxing classes and brows. She even brought in her own professional tools from her business to help us go beyond the basics. Miss Erin could be tough, but she genuinely cared. She pushed us to think for ourselves and remember our own shyt because, like any mom would, she wanted us to be prepared, not just given all the answers. Miss Lynn was always kind and ready to lend a hand whenever she could. Miss Natcha, along with Erin and Melissa, shared so many helpful nail tips and tricks with me, always with a smile and a willingness to teach. The newer teachers who just came in were just as kind and encouraging, adding only positivity and support. Miss Tiffany, who led it all, always looked stunning and put-together. She had a real presence and always made sure the students felt heard and respected. And of course, there was Miss D. She loved keeping the school clean and put together, she treated us based on who we showed up as that day. If we didn’t put in the effort she would definitely say something, and if we did great she would say “SEE!” And I could tell she felt proud of her teaching abilities.. Even when students complained daily, the staff continued to show up with dedication and a fresh start each and every week. I walked away with a heart full of love and sadness. TSPA isn’t just a school, it’s a place that felt like family, and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
Mathew gave exceptional customer service!!!!I was very nervous about letting a student touch my hair. Not only have I never had a student practice on me but also never had a man do my hair. He very quickly put my mind at ease . He knew exactly what I wanted to do and made my wishes come true. He was so sweet and such a pleasure to work with. Also loved to see that he was student of the month . I know he knows what he’s doing because several of his classmates were coming over to him asking him for help and advice . Keep it up Mathew you are very impressive and I look forward to having you color /cut my hair in the future .
