Care Center of Lake Placid

Five stars?! YES, FIVE STARS, because they won't allow me to score TEN! Often it is the norm to have either good medical care OR kindness from Doctor and staff. Here I enjoyed BOTH! Dr. Walker listened to me and took time to explain both what was wrong, but also how to treat my illness properly. I felt like I was visiting friends in their home, as Kelly and Dr. Walker made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed to make me feel relaxed. Above and beyond, Kelly brought a large fan into the exam room when she noticed I was warm, WOW! I was turned away from two other clinics because they could not or would not take the time to give me a Kenolog shot for my eczema. Dr. Walker and her med intern were extremely attentive to my needs. The doctor even told me about a compound that was working wonders for orhers. They discussed with me my options and allowed me to make the decision best for me. They found some BP issues and made sure my BP was at a safe level before I left. I cannot tell you the last time I felt in such good care! Awesome experience with this urgent care center. NP Veronica Walker was great, got the diagnosis correct, got me the meds I need, and I’m on the mend. Thank you to your staff and service!
