I really want to take a moment to brag about Compassion Veterinary Hospital (formerly Addison Animal Hospital).
My sweet baby, Cinder had a growth pop up on her eye a few months ago. As a precaution, I wanted to get it look at as she has a history of cancer. The first place I went to was Suwannee Oaks, Cinders former vet. I was quoted about $780 to have the spot removed. For me personally, that’s a steep amount to just come up with on the spot, so I decided to look around. I called Compassion and scheduled an office visit.

My family and I have been taking our dogs and cats to Dr. Addison for over 20 years. At first, it was for convenience as I live less than a mile from Addison Animal Hospital. (I believe they are called Compassion Animal Hospital now, don't quote.me on the exact name, but they answer their phones differently and I've noticed some new staff and I overheard them mentioning the change.) Dr. Addison and his team have saved more than a few of my dogs and cats from various situations, snake bites, animal attacks, random illnesses, etc. Most recently, we had a two year old cat, Casper, go missing for almost two weeks. Dr. Andy was absolutely wonderful. He was knowledgeable and had a great bedside manner. The front office could be a bit more welcoming, warm, and attentive. We walked in and waited for a while before anyone even looked at us or acknowledged our presence. I felt that was kind of rude.
