I have been fortunate enough to train with the Sakimukai family for over 15 years and cannot recommend the Dojo highly enough.

This place is a rare and special opportunity to learn traditional Japanese and Okinawan martial arts that have been kept relevant for the modern day that is tied to a very esteemed lineage.

While it is not for everyone, the benefits for those who are willing to dedicate time and energy toward these disciplines are very real.

Beautiful dojo space, well-loved over by its students. Several budo arts exist under this dojo's roof, making it a very unique place to train in North Florida.SoShihan and his family are welcoming, warm, and passionate about the competent instruction and spread of traditional budo.There is a heart to this school.

The karate lineage is impressive. Soke Sakimukai was very knowledgable in karate. His son now runs the classes. I doubt there is a another school that instructs Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do in Jacksonville, let alone a different style that is as good.
