Mismanaged office that consistently changes appointments as well as cancels them once you get to the office. Otherwise dental experience just OK. Hygienists inexperienced at best. Office protocol nonexistent.

Total rip off. Told me 700 for cleaning and ended up 1,500. Highway robbery. Unless you don't care about cost. The cleaning was ok, they said 2hrs but finished in 1:15. My jaw is very soar 3 months later. I was looking forward to getting another cleaning, hoping for 89.00 they advertise. But was told I owe 800. I asked for a bill and that will be the last time I go there. What a rip off.

Run, don't walk, as fast as you can from Aspen Dental. If I could give zero stars, I would. If you continue to go to Aspen, check your dental insurance statement against the Aspen's charges. You have probably been overcharged. Patient went in for broken tooth in October 2022 and had his first cleaning. Aspen advance bills because they don't charge if a patient no-shows. However, Aspen has no issue canceling last minute on patients. Aspen overcharged patient by 3x the amount actually owed. Two days later, another appointment - again with advance billing. This time charging twice the amount owed. Allison, the office manager, was continually inaccessible and difficult to deal with even if you did reach her. Dental insurer talked to her about the overage saying she was rude and difficult with which to deal. Subsequent to the dental insurer call, Allison calls patient to say they would "work off the credit". Allison should not be in a customer service role. The next appointments are a joke. Three of the four were canceled after patient arrived at the Inverness, Florida office. Another appointment, patient is told there would be no charge however, they tried to charge him. It took ELEVEN MONTHS to get a crown as the first crown didn't fit!!!!! There remained an overage on patient's account. It took multiple attempts by the dental insurer to speak live with Allison only to be told she can't talk to the dental insurer due to HIPPA. This is a blatant excuse. The dental insurer can see what procedures were performed; however, dental insurer simply wanted to address the billing. Allison states she will call patient. She did not. I followed up for patient and, despite my name on patient's HIPPA form, Allison initially did not want to speak with me. October 11, 2023 Allison was provided with all dental insurer documents. It has taken weekly eMails to her to ascertain the status of the overage. It takes a minimum of three (3) attempts to get any question answered. Almost every eMail results in yet another ticket being submitted to Aspen's insurance group. There was finally some movement on the claim November 23rd. Subsequent to November 23rd, a partial refund was issued. . . AFTER OVER ONE YEAR. Aspen is taking advantage of their clients by overcharging them. I'm sure Aspen will provide it's typical response; i.e. ",I'm sorry that you didn't have a positive experience. I wanted to let you know that I have read your review and will address concerns with the team in [insert city] with an eye to improving experiences for others." I doubt anything will change. Patient beware.
