We researched remodeling contractors for our Holmes Beach vacation home - and decided to go with Kern and Gilder Construction. What a great choice! We did a complete remodel - roof, plumbing, electrical, windows, kitchen, baths, etc. - and moved walls and pushed out the back of the house. The finished product greatly exceeded our expectations - and we could not be happier! We live in Michigan so it was critical we found a contractor we could trust and with considerable experience in construction and island FEMA restrictions - and to make critical and accurate decisions without us on-site. Between July 2021 and April 2022, Kern construction designed a remodel plan of my AMI beach bungalow. The internal home remodel including adding a bathroom, laundry closet and TV wall recess. This required removal of original 1965 concrete block walls, replacing wood stud walls, and installing plumbing and electrical systems. Drywall flow & texture blending was crucial as we created an open floor plan including replacing the front entrance door/frame. Labor and materials availability was a challenge for Kern Construction but this was probably also unavoidable, during this 2020-2022 pandemic. GRServices: Tile work installation
