James is amazing. He always knows what I want and it always turns out perfect!!! I have been to many salons in my life time, and Tailored by James Merrill is by far the best! I get asked all the time where I get my hair done and that makes me feel so confident in the work he does! He is a true artist when it comes to hair color and cutting!!
James is detail oriented and can provide ideas to even the most clueless. I always love his styles, but it's his short haircuts where he is spectacular. He does color work at affordable prices, although I've never had it done personally. The space is private, which I love.
I went in for a consultation on haircut & color, and needed a bang trim. James said he had time for the full hair cut. He listened to me and gave me exactly what I wanted...layers, layers, layers :) He has some amazing products too and explained about each that he used on me. His salon is nice and clean and has an ever so subtle scent that made it absolutely a joy to walk in to and sit down. James is incredibly pleasant himself, a really nice guy, who knows what he's doing. I'm looking forward to going back for color!
