When I relocated from Atlanta to Gainesville, I was concerned I wouldn’t find a reliable/skilled stylist that met my high standards (I am the son of a beautician, and I have very definite ideas about what I want). Working on the UF campus, the Reitz Union shop was convenient, so I gave it a shot. After my first experience with Jay, he has been my go-to! He’s been cutting hair since before I was a student here (mid-80s), and he knows exactly how to give me what I want (which is often something different). From my experiences here, the barbers are very conversational and communicative, along with ensuring that that you have a good experience. I would also like to mention Mario, who did an amazing job with my hair and I greatly appreciate the time and efforts he put into it. Thank you !
Mario is truly a world class barber and I have been loyal follower for about 15 years now as a result. He does awesome work and will get you right. Fades, clippers, scissors, straight edge -whatever you need, he's got you covered. UF is lucky to have his services now and I highly recommend him to all!
